Fungal growth on hammer?

The past month or so my hammer has not been opening up as much, I was originally thinking this was due to one of the heads splitting. today I decided to try to move it into an area with lower flow to see if that would help and noticed what almost looks like fungal growth on what was the backside of colony. Does anyone know what this is exactly and how to treat it? Is there a risk of this spreading to other LPS? Other corals I have are a duncan, candy cane, galaxea, and blastomussa merletti which all appear healthy.
