Can you place toadstool frag vertically on aquascape ?

Can a toadstool leather be mounted vertically?  Will they orient towards light and fill in vertical gaps on my rock structure? 

I'm building new aquascape for a tank upgrade and have begun thinking about coral placement. My object is to have a leather/soft coral dominate tank.

The leather I'm thinking about mounting vertically is a Green Aussie Toadstool.

Perfect, this helps me with coral placement planning. I was wondering if soft corals orient themselves towards the light.
