572379
Hello-just got a new zoo in a nano and I just want to make sure he's happy. The way I understand it, as long as it continues to open up its pretty happy. Right now, its almost all open. I was wondering if there would be a color change if it doesn't like things-I've got a green one. Link to comment
raciampa
If they are unhappy it will not change colors, but stay closed. They usually adapt to whatever lighting they have. They are a great beginner coral. Good Luck! Link to comment
572379
Thanks-right now it looks like it has a small sponge growing on it, and I'm trying to figure out if I should remove it or not Link to comment
JRGumby
As I understand it the only time sponges are really a problem is if they die, or are the rockboring type (and then they'll just dig their way through your LR, which isn't a big deal unless you get enough to collapse it.) Here's an article about different types of sponges you can pick up in LR/frags. http://www.saltcorner.com/1024/index1024.htm It's rather a large file, but it might help. Link to comment
572379
So far, it doesn't seem to be spreading-thatns for the article-I'll check it out Link to comment
