bbkid43
Is a 150 watt DE pendent bright enough for some sps in a 29 gallon? I already have a montipora that is thriving under 130 watts of PC. Link to comment
bbkid43
anyone have an idea? Link to comment
SubZero
Sounds like you answered your own question. The light is an upgrade to what you currently have, so if you were keeping some already then they should do fine. I have no SPS, so I really can't comment how they will do, but from what I read around here they should do fine up near the top of the tank. Mark Link to comment
bbkid43
I only have one montipora in the tank right now, but I hear that's one of the easiest sps to keep. What other kinds do you think I could keep? Link to comment
footbag
It may not be that much more to just go to a 250w, But... I'm upgrading to a 150w from a 70w for my 7g. It seems like overkill but I have some very light demanding corals including an ORA blue tort. That said, I should have just got the 150w in the first place. Plus the 29 is a little bit deeper. Is it going to be all SPS? Link to comment
Spasticat
21 watts per gallon? also, what kind of heat does that generate in such a small volume of water? Link to comment
