Dave MN Nano
I had a minor mishap while servicing my filter. I dropped some filter media on this Duncan. I really did not think I would have a problem because the media was not heavy and it did not fall that far onto the Duncan. HOWEVER, my poor Duncan took it very hard. This happened about a week ago. Is it dead now? IIt was very healthy before. Should I take it out of my tank immediately??? Thanks much. Quote Link to comment
NanoGrant
To me that looks like it’s just skeleton left. So it’s a goner unfortunately and worth removing. Quote Link to comment
Pjanssen
I don't see it life. Not hurting anything in there though. 3 Quote Link to comment
jservedio
While it's definitely a long shot, I would leave it just in case for a few months to see if you get any signs of life returning. All it takes is a few cells for the coral to survive - much smaller than you could possibly see. Over the years I've had several corals come back from "nothing but skeleton" including some of my nicest pieces. If you don't see any life in a few months, it's not going to be coming back and you can toss it. 4 Quote Link to comment
less than bread
It doesn’t hurt anything to leave it in and there have been plenty of cases of seemingly long dead corals coming back to life. 1 Quote Link to comment
