CarolinaShoreReef
Hey everyone! I recently set up another fluval evo v back in March. Great job. Thank you! Do it! I'm enjoying it more than my lagoon 25 now which is funny because when i got the lagoon I said the opposite lol. Maintenance is quick which is really nice and I can move it wherever I want since it's so light! Quote Link to comment
CarolinaShoreReef
Grabbed this beautiful specimen from someone in the area dealing with the same issues. Settling in nicely! 3 Quote Link to comment

CarolinaShoreReef
Quick review of the inTank surface skimmer. For those that aren't familiar, it raises the display water level so that water is forced to trickle down the rear chambers. Took some adjusting to get it right but I've noticed an immense amount of debris and uneaten food in the rear chambers like never before and a fishy smell. My floss pads were completely dirty within a week and a half. I'd say it's doing its job great! 1 Quote Link to comment
CarolinaShoreReef
It looks like the filefish has removed a few aiptasia or at least put a hurting on them. There still remains the really large one that's over an inch in diameter. I should add the filefish is not here to stay. I was hoping no more than a few days but looks like maybe a week before it's through eating aiptasia. It's already killed a couple snails and giving me bad vibes the way it looks at my Duncan coral... 3 Quote Link to comment
shredder56
Made my surface skimmer out of scrap acrylic. Works great. Do you have an ATO? 1 Quote Link to comment

Well it let me paste this pic. You can see the aiptasia is not happy any longer 😊 2 Quote Link to comment
xreaper93
Cool tank! I remember your series on youtube. I only have a hi-fin goby and a pistol in my evo V, how is the tank handling the bioload of all the fish you have in there? Also I have the same return pump and seems like alot of flow already, did you turn down the return pump or is there just a ton of flow in that tank? Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment

It's handling pretty well so far and no mods done to the pump. The flow is pretty moderate. Quote Link to comment
