What one would be best for long term health/beauty/stability 1) attach frag to rock that is on the back tank glass. Mid tank level....Medium ( direct light ) medium flow 2) attach frag to bottom of rock in the main display tank ( rock is as tall as tank ). Would get low indirect light and more intense light if it grows up the rock. much higher flow. I've got a 20 gallon tall tank with a RED SEA 50 light. Light is mounted 8" above water in a home made hood. Currently ramping up the blue and white light to 60% blue, 30%white, holding max settings for 5 hours....
