The above ricordia have been in my tank now for almost a year.  As you can see there are several mouths, but no splitting?  I have probably 3 or four with two or more mouths, but again.  No splitting!  Water parameters are in line and stable.  They look very healthy otherwise.

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Bob.

I've had one for 3 years and it hasn't split yet. It has gotten quite large, however.

As I said they are growing and otherwise healthy!  Thanks for the info.

If you want to speed it up, you can cut them with a scalpel. It's a little riskier if you paid a lot of that shroom.

I've got an inexpensive one I purchased from a 40 percent Holiday sale that i want to cut with scalpel.

Have to wait to tank upgrade for sand real estate.  But it's on my future plan just b/c I'm curious.  Watching this topic to see if I can learn anything on the issue.

Do they heal faster after a cut vs normal growth?

Surgery is off the table!!!  I will wait to see what and when any thing happens.

Bob.
