kimdawg
Tank looks great! I love the way you raised the largest rock off the sand. I have always been a fan of the ledge it creates. 1 Quote Link to comment

I like the ledge look too, but I also did it for the practical purpose of being able to get good flow under the Scape to reduce detritus build up. It also gives the fish an escape which provides them with some level of safety, something I believe means they're actually in the open more often! 1 Quote Link to comment

JoshO
Evening everyone! I posted this a few days ago on Instagram but here's my monthly update photo! I've cut back a few corals to maintain a balanced look while smaller frags try to catch up! I've made a change to my salt mix too, as I now use Fauna Marin Professional salt! 9 Quote Link to comment
JoshO
Another monthly update for you all! I chopped back stuff even further and eventually moved corals into better positions to allow more acros to be added! Slow and steady wins the race! I'm looking at adding a kalk stirrer in the coming months, but I want to DIY one because why not 😂. I've started to dose reef snow today to try and combat my vermetid issue! 10 1 Quote Link to comment

JoshO
Monthly update! I'm amazed at the growth I've seen in the last month! A few changes are on the way for the tank. I'll be starting to dose kalk overnight in an attempt to stabilise my pH and alkalinity. I was tempted to dose the Tropic Marin all for reef overnight but after talking to the guys at TM they've told me that the volume I'm dosing will be starting to negatively impact the pH, and I don't need any more of a drop at night! I'll be setting up Kalk on a doser initially before setting up a stirrer eventually! I'm also going to be starting dosing Coral Essentials CVE+ this week, the black label bottles are something I've wanted to try for a while, so now it's an all in one solution I'm taking the plunge! 5 Quote Link to comment
