oozi
Hi Everyone! Not sure if this still classifies as a nano reef but the community has been so great in the past I figured I would start here. Starting to take the hobby more seriously and upgraded to a 40G tank with mostly soft corals. I really wanted to refine my water chemistry so I went out and bought a good refractometer, hanna checkers for phos/calc/alk, aquaforest mag test, Apex EL, and Trident. Overall tank health has been good. Specs are below: Ph: 7.9-8.1 Alk: 7.1 Cal: 415 Mag: 1130 Phos: 0.03 Salt: 1.026 About 2 weeks ago my mag was around 1500 and I've noticed its been dropping pretty quick. I'm assuming this is because the corals are eating it all... I'm looking into getting an Apex DOS module and begin dosing all-for-reef. I did a 10% water change and it didn't really make a change. What is the best way to get my mag back into check without greatly increasing my other specs?? Should I add a mag only supplement to make the boost then maintain with the DOS? Quote Link to comment
rough eye
you need to upgrade again to a tank 2 - 3 time that size for that tang. 1 Quote Link to comment
