Ricardo Posted September 26, 2021 Share Posted September 26, 2021 So I come to see my tank at night and I find a whole bunch of these cockroach looking things in my rocks, there’s a whole bunch of them on every little hole you see there’s at least one of them. I’ve been trying to take good pictures of them but they started hiding. Quote Link to comment

Tired Posted September 27, 2021 Share Posted September 27, 2021 Yeah, probably amphipods, from that segmented texture I can see. Amphipods are beneficial scavengers and fish food, but if there are no fish in the tank, sometimes they can multiply too much and start pestering corals. They'll also chew unhealthy corals if there are a lot. They aren't a problem in any tank with a fish that eats amphipods, though, and most fish will eat some size of amphipod. Quote Link to comment
