Iamdasauce
Good Morning, I am wondering if anyone on this forum has had a Flame Hawkfish that originally started only eating frozen and they converted it to eating pellets and or flakes? Currently, the only thing the Flame Hawkfish I have had for a bit over a week will eat is frozen mysis. It completely ignores the pellets my clownfish eat. Any advice on moving her toward pellets/flakes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Quote Link to comment
jservedio
Mix small sinking pellets (1-2mm generally) in with the thawed mysis and let them sit in the juice for a bit and feed the mysis/pellet mixture. Slowly reduce how long the pellets are sitting in the juice over a few weeks while cutting back on the mysis serving size. That method has always worked for me! No idea for the flakes since I never feed flakes on account of them getting sucked down into the sump. 4 Quote Link to comment
Iamdasauce
I appreciate the feedback. I can report that my Flame Hawkfish is now eating pellets! 3 Quote Link to comment
