Miloeverday
HI, Im a new reefer nad just happen to purchase this maxspect light to exchange my Aqua knight for the purpose of inviting corals into my tank. I recently got 3 sets of corals - green torch coral - utter chaos zoa - space monster zoa I would like to ask for the assistance on my light setting. Here is my current light set up. Blue and Purple/UV are equal at 50% highest Cool blue and Green at 40% highest Warm white at 30% highest Red at 10% highest I am not sure if i should increase more the intensity of blue and purple/UV. I wanted somehow for colors to pop from the corals and maximize their growth rate Kindly let me know your thoughts. Please be kind im still new to the hobby. Im not sure if there is a certain setting that needs to be done or can be done randomly. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Start by turning everything to 0%. Then turn up blues to 100%. Then turn up whites until things in the tank look good to your eyes, but no higher. The light in the tank should look "20,000Kblue", roughly speaking. Leave the rest of the emitters OFF.
