bones6966
Can anyone help me identify this coral i just got from a friend? He was unaware of what it is and had no room for it. it is the one left of the green zoas. Any help finding the name of it would be great. thanks! Quote Link to comment
Seadragon
Looks like you got a Duncan coral with 3 or 4 heads. I’m probably going to buy one myself in a few weeks. They’re known to be one of the hardier LPS corals. 2 Quote Link to comment

I’ll probably squirt some brine shrimp onto mine once a week after I fed the rest of my tank. I had some before and it’s fun to watch the Duncan use it’s tentacles to bring the food to its mouth. Compared to my Hammer & Frogspawn corals that don’t actively do that so they just get the “brine shrimp juice” from now on. 😉 2 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
They are pretty easy to keep happy. Don't need a lot of flow or light. Parameters don't even need to be that stable either. It's a really good LPS to start off with.. as @Seadragon says it will enjoy a target feeding.. but it's not absolutely required. 1 Quote Link to comment

You guys have me convinced. Unfortunately none are currently available at LFS and I would have to order from a store in Ontario 🙁. 3 Quote Link to comment
