fishkeepersaltnfresh
Hi All, Two of my 3 fishes have gone missing in one week. The two fishes are Tail Spot Blenny & CLownfish. The third fish is Coral Beauty (the only one still visible). I do not have any substrate. Have looked through all the rocks crevices. Just cannot find them. The day before they went missing, both fishes exhibited healthy behavior and were eating as usual. The only change introduced just before they started disappearing is a pincushion Urchin & Red Legged Cortez Hermit Crab. Could the crab be the culprit? Again, when I say missing, I have still not found their bodies. I have looked everywhere. The only other CUCs in my tanks are snails. Quote Link to comment
PeterU
Is your tank covered? Did they jump? In a filter, overflow etc? I've had fish get into my Aquaclear filter by jumping 1 Quote Link to comment
fishkeepersaltnfresh
It is 75% covered. But thanks for the tip. Pulled my tank ahead and checked behind. Found my clownfish 😞 on the floor. What would have spooked it to jump. It had been in the tank for 2 months now. 1 Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
All fish can jump and they don’t need to be spooked to do so. Sometimes they just go looking for a bigger ocean. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
