Rikko Posted October 18, 2004 Share Posted October 18, 2004 As far as biodiversity goes, you can't beat 'wild' live rock. Cultured stuff is nice and heavy, but doesn't have the obscene amounts of critters on it that we all love. See 'Reef Invertebrates' by Calfo and Fenner for a great chapter discussing it. That said, if you just want base rock, buy base rock. It will seed and do everything your live rock does in time (how much time nobody seems to know for sure). I just read the link. I would never in a million years deal with them. Any "professionals" using all caps in their pitch are immediately suspect. Link to comment
