Help! Parasite on Birdsnest Frag??

I got this frag a few weeks ago and it immediately got bleached. I thought maybe the light was too intense so I moved it. When I moved it I noticed this blackish spot. Can anyone tell me what that is?? Is it a parasite?

That is not bleached, that is dead. I can't tell what is on it though.... if it turned white quickly, then the issue wasn't a parasite though. 

 

Is it hard? It looks like a Vermedit Snail maybe.
