WhiteLisa70
Good morning, We have had two clown fish for a week and have been feeding them pellets . Up until the past two days they both have been eating them well. Then one (smaller one) has been chasing the pellets but either gives up or spits it out again. LFS gave us some brine shrimp pods (frozen), so we mixed it with tank water and with a syringe put it into the water. The other clown and the Japanese swallowtail angel fish loved it. Not sure if I should be worried. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
seabass
Welcome to Nano-Reef.com. Depending on how old it is, it might not be used to pellets. You might try something more familiar, like frozen mysis shrimp. New fish can be picky at first. If it's healthy, it should start eating soon. Quote Link to comment
Jakesaw
I agree try mixing things up. My clown Flakes - nibbles sparingly but doesn't eat much pellets - Eats aggressively but fills up pretty quick with nutrient density or b/c they are dry when he eats em from surface Frozen Brine shrimp - HOGS it down Mysis brine with Spirulina - and took a while to get used to but now eats it well.
