Billyboy
Maybe I am doing something wrong but my salinity seems to run high at around 1.029. When I set up or do water change it is 1.026. I noticed evaporation from the sump with a little salt creep where the tank meets the sump. There are no gaps so I am a little puzzled. Any suggestions? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Tautoo
Are you topping off with RO water between water changes? How big is your tank? How often do you top off if so? Quote Link to comment
Jakesaw
I have an open top 10 gallon aquarium and add about 1 - 2 x 20 oz tops of RO/DI water a day. Quote Link to comment

Thanks. You need to top up daily with rodi or distilled water to compensate for evaporation. That maintains the salinity. Salt doesn't evaporate, only water Quote Link to comment
