Arys
Hey, I currently have two clownfish in a QT tank, the first one has been in there for three weeks and the second for two. I was just wondering if you guys dose medications such as copper and metroplex, even if the fish isn’t showing symptoms. I don’t want to add stress if it isn’t needed, but I also don’t want to introduce a hidden parasite into my main tank. What do you recommend? The first, smaller one had white-stringy poop that hasn’t been seen since after feeding metroplex infused pellets for three days. The second, bigger clownfish never showed signs of anything. They eat like mad twice a day and don’t show signs of anything on the exterior. Can something like ich, velvet or brook be hidden in QT? Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Some people choose to treat the fish regardless as a precaution while others qt to monitor and treat if need be. I always qt'd for 4 weeks minimum, longer is better. i chose to not treat them with meds unless they needed to be treated. 1 Quote Link to comment
