AndyL
Hey folks, While getting right pissy with the LPS today due to lack of service, I spotted something neat in their tanks... Of course the common name seems to be made up in store. It was a VERY small goby, body shape was very much like a watchman goby. Overall size was under 1/2" (including tail). Now here's the interesting part, charcoal body, with a bright blue head. They had it labeled as a "Blue headed Shrimp Goby" Anybody know a proper latin name for this fish? Thanks, Andy Link to comment
Dr. Saltwater
Sure it wasn't like my avatar only the gold line in blue? Link to comment
AndyL
Nope, no gold visible... Just a grey fish with a blue head. Andy Link to comment
flickj79
is this it? http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...=66&TopCatId=23 Link to comment
AndyL
Same general body shape... but the head was bright blue, body was a dull grey. Think more along te lines of a redheaded goby - but blue and the base color is a little darker. Andy Link to comment
Dr. Saltwater
ooooooh .... if you told it had the same body shape ... Than I think it's an Ecsenius gravieri. Blue head and if it doesn't feeld good the body isn't as colored as it should be. Link to comment
Tigahboy
Did you figure out what it is? Sounds nice. I want one! Haha...do they grab mouthfuls of sand and sift them thru gills? Does it swim around a lot? Link to comment
