Howdy y’all! I am shutting down my current 20gallon long build and setting up a used JBJ RM 45. I guess to start there were some maintenance hassles and noise complaints with the way I set up my 20L. Single overflow pipe being the biggest issue plus it’s small size. With out getting to much into it here is my soon to be current set up run down.

TANK- JBJ RL 45

LIGHT- SB reef light 16” (will be saving over the summer for used primes or something else but that will be a pretty big purchase)

SKIMMER- IM bio skim (upgrading to Tunze 9004 very soon)

FILTER MEDIA- just filter floss and cycled matrix for now

FUGE- will set up a cheato fuge in a compartment once nutrients get going enough to warrant one (looking for best way to light it up) also wanting to try vibrant to get rid of the bubble algae before adding macros

HEATER- dual heaters controlled by ink bird

ROCK- ~20lbs of the used rock and ~25lbs my rock might buy some more to complete scape or throw some out

SAND- 20 new lbs and 20lbs of my stuff that I keep pretty clean...may use less

now for live stock

MY FISH

-bicolor blenny

-long nose hawk fish

-baby coral beauty I hope will be successful long term in the 45

NEW FISH

-Springers damsel (comes with tank and is a baby and is no longer able to be housed by previous owners because the other tank has much meaner clowns that harass it

-will eventually get a occ. clown fish par probably a black and white and a mocha

INVERTS

-what ever snails I find in my tank (I think there are still now)

-mix of astrea and ceriths

-cleaner shrimp

- my 2 rock flower nems

- bristle worms that survive the move

-will EVENTUALLY get a rose bubble tip nem probably soon after the clowns

CORAL

-all my current softies

-what ever softies I find I like in the next years

feel free to add anything or ask a question. Tank set up will be Friday and I will add some pics!
