Blenard the Blenny
Just got back from the LFS and of course, I forgot to ask what type of snails these are. Can anyone ID? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
DevilDuck
They look almost like tiny conches... Quote Link to comment
Lmohallem
I'm almost certain their species is Monetaria annulus (also known as Cypraea annulus). https://www.e-marineaquatics.co.uk/products/whiteringcowriemonetariaannulusmarineaquariumcucinvertessex Quote Link to comment
Tired
Those are cowries! Probably money cowries by the look of them. They'll get to an inch long at most, and are good algae-eaters. As they get comfortable, you'll see them extend part of their mantle (their "foot") to cover their shells, which is why the shells are always shiny and clean. The mantle is soft, textured, and dull-colored, for camouflage. 1 Quote Link to comment
