Feather Duster Worm Mucus?

hello everyone, I have recently purchased a feather duster worm and it arrived yesterday. when I had finished acclimating them to my tanks water conditions I placed it in the tank where I liked it and where I thought it would be happiest, after I placed it in the tank it started to create lots of strings of what seems to be mucus or something, after a while it stopped but this morning my tank lights turned on (very slowly) and then it started to produce strings of mucus again from the tip if it feather things but I don't think its dying. my first thought was that it could be a reaction to the stress of shipping and being placed in the tank. 🤔. Is this normal?, will it pollute the water?

Thanks in advance.

I couldn't resist posting a photo 😃 (not with the mucus)

Not sure; but if it's out, that's a good sign.  Can we get a pic of the mucus?

I will try to get a clear picture if it does it again, its crown is out all the time and the worm looks very healthy.
