Widowed seahorse, need new mate?

I have had a pair of seahorses for almost a year. This morning i found one of them deceased. Should i get a new friend for the survivor?  I have heard that lone seahorses get lonely without someone of its own kind. 
 

also will a half spinned seahorse be an acceptable mate? Looking on live aquaria that is the only kind they have in stock,

Problematic update:

 I bought the half spinned seahorse and it arrived yesterday. Today i discovered that the old seahorse had died. Now my new seahorse is the only seahorse in the tank.  

the half spinned seahorse was the last seahorse in stock of any species at live aquaria.  
 

I have looked around and i can’t find any seahorses for sale of any kind anywhere.

Maybe rehome the one you currently have (the newly arrived one)? I'm sure there are seahorse keepers out there who'd be willing to take it off you.
