Sherlocks31
I’ve been cycling my aquarium for about a month and a half and I’ve started to test my water much better than I did in the beginning, recently I bought some Hanna phosphate and dkh checkers. My readings were .52 ppm for phosphate and 12.8dkh for alkalinity. Are these normal readings? Currently have small cleanup crew consisting of 5 snails and 2 peppermint shrimp in a fluval eco 13.5. seabass
Welcome to Nano-Reef.com. Alkalinity might be a bit high, but I wouldn't worry about it. I assume that your salt mix just mixes high. What salt mix do you use? Phosphate is way high. While it doesn't endanger your livestock, those levels (if no other limiting factor exists) might encourage robust algae growth. Quote Link to comment
