But I see there are many problems whit connection, fans, weird noises, cracked covers,.. are those problems solved now? farkwar Posted October 30, 2020 Share Posted October 30, 2020 I was just going to post a thread about mine Brand new And the app can't connect to the light Light works fine I just can't make any changes, say to turn on the whites to take images I know I will have to reset it(but don't wanna) I would have guessed these run on Raspberry Pi Not Windows 98 Edit, the light given off is absolutely beautiful. I have experience with them. What Ecotech has done with these fixtures is remarkable. The LEDs are in a panel array. Which has usually/previously caused disco ball effect or TV static effect They have virtually overcome this with the lenses. You have to look hard and know what to look for to see the color separation. The color blending is better than dense matrix of Kessils, and the shimmer is equalled. I have the Blue model, not Pro. And is perfect for my purposes. And the resulting coverage, combined with the optimal height mounting bracket, is phenomenal. The color and coloration is beautiful. It's just this app to light connection problem, is a major concern. I am slowing building a large 120 gallon system. And before this connection issue, my plan was for 3 XR 30 Blues over it. That is in jeopardy, I may not use them. And may go with the Orpheks. Even though I know that the color blending will be nowhere near these Ecotechs. And that saddens me 1 Quote Link to comment
farkwar Posted November 16, 2020 Share Posted November 16, 2020 Ecotech sent an advance replacement It too is a fail When it starts to warm up and the fan is supposed to come on, the light just hits a thermal breaker and turns off I'm going to send it all back and get a different brand of light At first I was going to give them a third chance bet then realized if the third light fails say 6 months from now, I would be SOL. And it would be too long to get a refund Good luck with your light AI uses the same way to cool the light. I have my G5 blue now over a week and it is working great. Fingers crossed. The spread is just insane! It is like having T5 bulbs over the tank. I first had an AI prime 16HD and works very similar to the Radion.. in the way of cooling. 1 Quote Link to comment
