rhailey
This guy and his buddy crawled off of my live rock, or out of the live sand shortly after I set up the Cube. They're growing fairly quickly. It's hard to tell from the picks, but the foot is almost an inch long when fully extended, while the shell, if that's what it is, is much smaller. I'm not sure if it's a shell, or just a small portion of the critter that doesn't flex. I was surprised to see them out during the day, since I usually don't see them except at night. I've looked through my book, which admittedly isn't very specific, and didn't see anything like it. Any ideas? Link to comment
kraphtymac
Well, I have some ideas... but a picture taken with a tripod would help a lot. Could be a Stomatella snail or a sea hair. Link to comment
Kool-cat
Stomatella Varia snail. I only have one of these in my tank and i want more. Harmless algae grazers that reproduce quickly so you never have to buy snails agian. Link to comment

rhailey
Thanks for the ID. Sorry for the picture quality, but these are my first tank shots. They looked pretty clear until I enlarged them. Looks like I may be investing in a macro lens soon. Link to comment
