Chefdnh
Anyone have experiences with decorator crabs 🦀 taking zoas off plugs with surgical precision and placing on their backs?  It’s a very cool process to watch but somewhat annoying nonetheless. 2 1 Quote Link to comment
seabass
Pincushion urchins basically do the same. The following pretty much sums up keeping them: 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Tired
Yep, they'll do that. They want their disguise! I only keep micro decorators, to avoid those sorts of shenanigans, but they have stolen a couple of tiny, loosely-attached zoas.  The zoas will probably be fine, as long as the crab doesn't bump them too much and keep them closed. After it molts, you may be able to find its molted carapace and reclaim the zoas.  Probably a good idea to keep rarer zoas, or small frags, out of where the crab can reach. Don't let it have anything that's not just a snip or two off the edge of a large colony. Quote Link to comment
