Recommended settings: Kessell 160 with orbit pro ic

Hey i have a kessell 160 sandwhiched between two orbit marine pro ic's.

 

What settings (color and light intensity) and time schedule do you recommend?

 

I have (adding more) sps at the top-middle. Clam bottom middle. Softies and lps on the sides, medium low depth.

 

Kessell in right on glass top as is orbits. Kinda wanna keep em there... but have ability to raise and mount however.

 

Just playing with settings below (tank is hidden in home for birthday surprise).

Schedule

You want a 12 hour lighting cycle....just like in the tropics.

 

Color

It's more or less the same process for almost any well-fitting light:  Turn up the blues, usually to 100% with Kessils...should be similar with the strips; and then turn up the white's just enough for the tank to look good to you.  (More is not better.)  Stop there.  You're done.  Leave the other colors off.

 

Since you're overkilling it a bit, it should be interesting to use a lux meter (at least a phone-app lux meter) to see what your overall light levels are like.  Might not need to take blues up to 100%.
