Self leveling mat?

Hello all! Just started getting my system together. I purchased an aqeuon 10 gallon rimless that I’m setting up. I’m a finish carpenter by trade and built the stand from some repurposed decking I pulled from a job site. My question is should I use a self leveling mat underneath or would I be fine without it? Thanks in advance:)

The rule of thumb for that size tank is no, but follow the tank manufacturer's instructions.  The surface should be very flat and as level as possible no matter what though.

Most like to put yoga mat underneath a rimless tank.

If the surface isn't 100% even, any gaps between the glass and stand top, foam board or a marble top can be used to prevent any issues in future.

Thanks! Went to their website and no mention of needing to use a mat. Stand is perfectly level so I should be good.

It’s rimless on the top but has a rim along the bottom. Stand is perfectly level and flat but I may put some foam board or the marble under it just as a preventative. I get a lot of expansion and contraction between summer and winter here in New England. Appreciate the input!
