Sophia
So I have a canary blenny named Banana that has been living in my tank for not even a week. (Tank cycled 4 weeks before) When I went to sleep, I saw him on one of my decorations. He looked like a wilted leaf, and was more of a muted yellow. Phone was dead, could not get pic. Poked him with a net and he went back to normal. The pic I have is of him in the morning. I also include where he was sleeping. Quote Link to comment

They sleep pale in odd positions and still like a corpse....when I had them they will would sleep virtually along the glass. Don't poke him...it is stressful...let him sleep. 1 Quote Link to comment
TerraIncognita
Unless you see quickened breathing, rubbing on rocks, and motionless during the day when lights are on I'd let him be. He's probably just getting established. Blenny's are hiders, they are finicky, study up on normal behavior and look for things that are off from that to see if somethings up. As funny as it seems probably the behavior he has that seems "weird" is his normal. That's the best part about Saltwater, they're literally all completely different. Quote Link to comment
Sophia
He was more of a darker color, like a brown. Reminded me of the outside of a morphological wing Quote Link to comment

But I've never kept a tank FOWLR without lights even so un-sure. Quote Link to comment
Tired
Blennies turn strange colors to hide when they sleep. It's odd he was sleeping out in the open, though- do you have much rock for him to hide in? Do you have a light on the tank during the day? Quote Link to comment
Sophia
I do have a light, and I do have a LOT of hiding places. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
