1255fish
Hi guys! This is my first tank with the first fish I’ve ever had. I woke up this morning and my coral beauty angelfish has what seems like a bubble on one eye and it’s a little cloudy. We’ve only had him about 2 weeks and the other fish about 3 weeks. The tank is a 32 gallon biocube with standard lighting. The parameters are normal but we did do a water change about three days ago. We also lost one of our emerald crabs today and found him upside down at the bottom of the tank. I don’t know if any of this is tied together or what to do about it’s eye! SOS! I’ll post a picture of the eye, he was hard to catch a picture of. Please dumb any treatment processes down for me, I have never done anything like this before. Quote Link to comment
Humblefish
You can dose Epsom salt (1 tablespoon per 5 gallons) to help with the swelling (popeye). This is a reef safe treatment. However, if the eye continues to look cloudy I recommend placing the fish in a quarantine tank and dosing erythromycin for a possible eye infection. 1 Quote Link to comment
Tired
How old and well cycled is your tank? It looks very new. 1 Quote Link to comment

We cycled it 8 weeks with the live rocks and sand + adding nitrifying bacteria. The fish have been in the tank about 3 weeks. we also noticed that the clowns are pooping white stringy stuff so we googled it. We ended up mixing Metroplex and focus into their food. Hopefully this helps the angel as well 🤞🏼. Quote Link to comment
