Elizabeth94 Posted September 28, 2020 Tank looks awesome. Not sure how I mossed your build, the Cade tanks have my interest. Don’t see many builds just yet on forums. How do you like your Ecotech dosing pumps? I have a GHL but before I won it, I was going to purchase the versas. 3 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Not to the tank its just sitting on the floor behind the tank. it has 1 metre (3 feet) long base of the same 50mm (2inch) box section aluminium you can see above the tank for stability. I’ve got a spacer between the cabinet and the stand to keep the stand off the glass. Just used the standard rms hanging kit to mount it to the stand. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Thank you! as you might have already noticed I am a big big fan of the CADE tanks. They really are just so much better than the competitors (which I have owned and also loved) I have limited experience with dosing pumps so my opinion is probably not worth a whole lot but I think they are awesome. I like the quick connect fittings, makes for a much neater install. The app is pretty straightforward to use and the amount of control you have over dose rate is huge. I was also going for the ghl originally but I would have had a harder time fitting that on the shelf in the stand with the way I’ve run my wiring. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Thank you! i am using eshopps bio lux I have 16 blocks in the media baskets, as far as success is concerned the tank is only a few months old and with a very light bio load so I can’t comment yet. You don’t have to change them and maintenance is just giving them a rinse if the get covered In detritus. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Jessy-Ray Posted November 8, 2020 Few random pics from the last few weeks tidied up my secret shame (the wiring in the dry cabinet) and got myself a little desk right in front of the tank so I can do all the testing easily. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jessy-Ray Posted January 12 Wanted a small display refugium to boost the pod population so I can have a nice healthy mandarin in a few months. Have a laser cutter at work so put one together over the weekend. Pretty happy with how it turned out for a first prototype. will be lit with a tunze 8831. Oh and an updated FTS as well 3 2 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Jessy-Ray Posted January 20 Spent a few days away for New Years and found the pH was at an all time high which pretty much confirmed that c02 from us being in the house was the cause of lowish pH (8.0-8.1 avg) so I fitted a c02 scrubber over the weekend. I also replaced the Klir filter with a clarisea sk5000. Klir filter looked much nicer and worked perfectly but the flow was too much and I was burning through a roll every 15-20 days. Still waiting for the refugium light. Little before and after of the sump from when I first set it up to now. Quote Share this post Link to post
Jessy-Ray Posted January 20 I’ve only got 3 SPS in the tank, haven’t got a whole lot of experience with it and it’s too hard to find ones I like. But I have a tiny acro crab that lives in all 3, he moves between them all the time. What should I name this lil dude? 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
