two return lines one pump for two nano’s

can anyone tell me which one is best for controlling the flow?  this will be returning to two different tanks, a 16 gallon and a 6 gallon.

 

the 1st one is for the space constraint in the sump area, the sump is a fiji-12

 

i like the 2nd one but there might not be enough space because the drain is close to the return. 

 

the 3rd one, my concern is flow might not divert so much to the right return.
