DenverBiocube16
I’m noticing a decent amount of algae growth recently and have been keeping a very close eye on my nutrients so am wondering if I’ve got a bit too much light. My tank has mostly LPS corals so my current light schedule is fairly long. I am wondering if anyone on here has any advice for a schedule on a 16 gal biocube with stock lights. Thanks in advance for any help! Quote Link to comment

Can you tell us what you've been doing? Also, what were your most recent test results like? Can you post a full tank shot? Maybe a closeup of the algae too if it seems necessary. 18 hours ago, DenverBiocube16 said: My tank has mostly LPS corals so my current light schedule is fairly long. 🤔 How does LPS connect so specifically to a "fairly long" lighting duration? (What is "fairly long"?) Corals in general get 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. If your light just turns on and off (vs sunrise/sunset) then it's pretty common to limit "on" time to something like 6-8 hours and to use just blue lights for "after hours" viewing. Still, I doubt so far that you're getting algae from the lighting. Quote Link to comment
