SmolReef
Has anyone ever had small bubble tips show up in their tank? Does this mean my anemones spawned? There’s a couple on the back side of the rock too. 3 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Anemones split creating babies. It's common. Quote Link to comment

I agree that if this is a typical split, it'd be highly unusual. All of my split happened roughly 50:50, most uneven would look closer 1/3 to 2/3, never more lopsided than that. IF this is a split, could it be like a mushroom "walking", leaving just a tiny bit of flesh behind? I, personally, never came across any posts/examples like this one. thanks for sharing, you get a new BTA, or a few, either way 😄 1 Quote Link to comment
RedCrow
I’ve had BTAs spawn before, but it seems like I always had only females 😒. Does anyone know if these anemones have a planktonic/medusal stage in their life cycle, or do they become benthic immediately? Quote Link to comment
pokerdobe
Whatever happened, whatever the case, that's pretty cool. I've never seen a BTA that small outside of poorly made manual cuts. 1 Quote Link to comment

All my other nems are 3-4 inches across and I’ve only ever had then split 50/50 down the middle. These are so tiny I just don’t see how it’s possible. Do you have any pics of yours? Never saw them split just another smaller version appeared. The only 2 pic I have are when they were a few weeks old. I don't have a pic of the smallest one which was maybe 2" Quote Link to comment
