I got this beautiful rainbow bta a year ago and just wanted to share its growth.

It's crazy how large it's gotten.

Thank you.

I'd say 5 or more inches. The other bta split 3 times, I kept a baby and sold the mother and others.

The baby isn't small either.

Getting big! I had been doing the same thing as you for a few years - keeping a baby every time it split and getting rid of the mother, but last time it split 18 months ago they were both only about 2" across so I left them both. Mine didn't grow quite as fast as yours, taking an extra few months, and certainly aren't as pretty as that rainbow, but are both about the same size as yours is.

Everyone who wants to get a pair of clown + bta in their nano should definitely be prepared since they all get that big and don't stop growing. They are almost half my 20g tank now!

They are gorgeous!

It's crazy how quickly they grow and I don't feed mine a lot

I love the colors!  It's so nice.  When they have babies, are they similar colors?  It's so cool!!

The babies have been identical to the mom

Here! Here!

Wish I knew what made them split vs continue growing.

I knew a guy who had RBTA's....a single polyp took up half of his 75 Gallon tank.

It eventually split and he brought half into the store where I worked at the time – even just half was well over a foot in diameter, including tentacles.   An anemone that size would just murder that crap out of a nano tank.  LOL

Thanks for sharing - here is a one year progression of mine. It gave me a little split and overgrew the tank, so I had to frag and reposition everything. I’ve upgraded since then.740095B2-3CD0-4CA6-B2B9-B1F2E2BF572F.png.8f09707c0592e8f91dc9cc8b52f4d37e.png
