pippol1
I have a bio-cube 32 gal tank. I've had 2 clown fish since 1/14/2020 (when I started cycle) a little over 9 weeks, which are doing ok. I use RODI water.I used dry rock. The first two to three weeks the tank Parameters were fine . Now I have high Nitrites over five and nitrates at 0.50 .I believe it's new tank syndrome I've done water changes and added nitrifying bacteria, but nothing I do seems to lower the #s. Any suggestions as to how I can lower them? Quote Link to comment

chunkylovah
Yeah your tank is just balancing out. Water change if your worried about the fish. But the tank just needs to build its beneficial bacterial population to keep up with the new organic waste load. Dosing bacteria should help speed it up but generally it doesn't take very long for your system to catch up for just two fish. Quote Link to comment
