jvanpelt89
I have the Evo 13.5 with LPS corals and don't intend to do anything other than that. I just upgraded to the Current USA LED. It has a timer with a day, dawn/dusk and night setting. For each setting there is a R/G/B/W option from 1-100. I'm fairly new with the lighting. What is everyone specifically setting theirs at for day, dawn/dusk and night time as far as percentages of each color? Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Should be mostly blue, with just enough white to make it look good to you. Roughly 15,000-20,000K. Green and Red can remain off...should only be a few emitters for that anyway. There is no correct setup per se....just guidelines like above. It would be helpful if you had either a lux meter or PAR meter to help you set the final intensity where you want it....it's very (very) hard to guess at intensity based on looking at your tank. (Lux meters don't cost much. $5-$15) Quote Link to comment
