Help Please Im Desperate

i dont know what to do ive worried myself sic. i fed my brain sun`day night and a tiny piece human shrimp didnt go into his mouth. it was about the siz e of a pencil eraser. i didnt think anything of it. las night i tested the water. my nitrites were at like.40! i changed four cu0ps of water. and prayed for the best today my nitrites are at .25. my corals look okay though. and one of my hermits molted. the molt was on my ledge and i removed it but im not sure how long it was there. what can i do, i have seriously worried myself to the point of an upset stomach. is my cleanup crew too large? 3 hermits, 3 astreas. help is apreciated asap thanks soooo much
