Yeah I would probably just leave it and let the snails etc deal with it. Could brush the rocks off yourself with a toothbrush first if you wanted. But the cuc should eat it, and diatoms should fade off themselves anyway CuC or not once the tank is well established

You should do a waterchange after cycling before adding anything as nitrates are usually high after a cycle.

 

The cuc should be temp acclimated by floating the bag before adding them.

Most videos don't seem all that great in terms of the quality of information (to be nice about it)....beware if that's been your only resource.

 

Check out a new or used copy of this book for starters....I wouldn't make any more moves with this tank before reading it:  Marine Aquarium Handbook Beginner to Breeder

 

What's in the CUC you ordered?

 

Do you have a LFS that you can buy from instead?

this is a lil bit older thread   1 cleaner shrimp, 3 blue leg hermits, 6 astrea snails, all went well the cleaned up the tank  dont forget to vote for my pic on the form contest thanks !!!
