Could brush the rocks off yourself with a toothbrush first if you wanted. But the cuc should eat it, and diatoms should fade off themselves anyway CuC or not once the tank is well established 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Clown79 Posted February 21, 2020 Share Posted February 21, 2020 You should do a waterchange after cycling before adding anything as nitrates are usually high after a cycle. The cuc should be temp acclimated by floating the bag before adding them. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Check out a new or used copy of this book for starters....I wouldn't make any more moves with this tank before reading it: Marine Aquarium Handbook Beginner to Breeder What's in the CUC you ordered?
