NOMCORN
Hi, i am thinking about setting/ buying a new reef tank, i have only had freshwater fish before so have no idea what im doing.so i wanted to ask some questions, basically can anyone give me ideas on what tank/ components to buy, my total budget is around 500 - 700 pounds, for the tank and equipment (light, filter etc),but not including fish, substrate, decorations etc. I was aiming for 100-200 l size wize, and probs fish and soft coral.would i be better getting a custom tank built or a of the shelf one etcMany thanks :) Quote Link to comment
Clown79
It depends on how you want the tank set up. Do you want All in one A sump Or hand on filters Custom tank builds are definitely going to be more costly as its custom. Cheapest route is a standard tank with hang on filters. Quote Link to comment
WilliamBowman
I would recommend Fluval SEA EVO XII Aquarium Kit. This saltwater nano tank is an ideal setting for any beginner sea enthusiast. The box contained all the equipment needed to start making it an economical option to consider. It comes with a powerful LED light and a noise-free pump that works effectively as well. Also, the filter media that comes with the aquarium is enough to help you set up a new tank. Quote Link to comment

Marine Aquarium Handbook Beginner to Breeder -- get it. Read it. 😊 Start with that THEN start deciding what kind of equipment to get IMO. 👍 Quote Link to comment
