Gobynose
Hi All, I am in the process of setting up my first saltwater tank and trying to get a handle on lighting. My tank came with an aqueon daylight LED light. Is there anything (coral or macroalgae) that would be happy under this light? I’ve looked and looked but can’t find the color temperature or anything for it, so sorry about that. If I would need to upgrade to grow either corals or macroalgae, is it possible to get a different bulb that would fit in the aqueon hood? Quote Link to comment

The stock lights on most standard tanks are for freshwater fish, not even for planted tanks as the spectrum and wattage are low/incorrect. You would need to retrofit the hood to put in new lights, no bulb exchange would work. Quote Link to comment
