Brendan Reeves
I have around a $200 budget +/- and want a programmable light that will grow most corals for a 24Lx12Wx16H tank. What would you guys recommend. I was thing of the prime hd but heard I would probably need 2. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
AI Prime is a great light Quote Link to comment
Brendan Reeves
Thank you for the reply. Would it be sufficient for that size tank? I’m okay with darkish corners, just not too dark. Quote Link to comment
A.m.P
They rate the puck as covering 24" on their website, if you don't need/want the control it has and need a higher-wattage solution with better spread you could try running two or more ABI tuna blue par pulbs, alternatively the hipargero or a current usa strip have better horizontal-coverage with less penetration. Brendan Reeves
Thank you all, I bought the prime hd, going to put my harder corals under the light and softer towards the sides, I’ll see how it goes, hopefully one will do the trick, if not I’ll get another eventually. I tried a budget light, the luminio pixie 30 or something like that off amazon, does pretty decent just hate manually ramping up light. Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Sorry I'm late to the party.....I would have suggested either one of the Current USA Orbit Marine IC Bundles....two IC strips is a great deal for $150-$160 IMO. Quote Link to comment
