I bought the tank from someone and used all the old media sponges, ceramic blocks and his live rock and used live sand for the substrate so I set the tank up on sunday morning and got everything going , tested the water last night and have 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and 10 nitrate am I jumping the gun or is it cycled quickly. Paddy1989 Posted February 4, 2020 Author Share Posted February 4, 2020 Hi thanks for getting back. yea it was and was emptied the day I got it, still had some tank water in it and everything was wet till the next day when I got my ro filter and salt delivered and then it was all in a bucket submerged with heater and wavemaker. You might see a small spike due to things possibly not being kept fully in water and reusing old sand but otherwise, the shouldn't be a cycle with established rock/system Quote Link to comment
