nano15
Hi guys: I have 2 PC lights 24W, 2 ballasts and 2 switches. They were working fine before but now ... one of the lights is only giving out half the intensity. Instead of white, it is more like yellowish white. I checked the bulb in the other end cap and it is working fine. It is making some weird noise when I turned it on and I seem to sometimes see current moving over on the PC tubes on the problem one. Can anymore let me know what wrong and needs to be changed please? Thanks Link to comment
Salim
First try swapping the bulbs (make sure the contacts are clean while you've got them off) if the problem moves then you know that you've a bad bulb on your hands. If the problem stays then the ballast is most likely the faulty component. Salim Link to comment
nano15
Thanks for the advise. The bulb is okay. I think it is the ballast that has the problem. Where do you suggest I should find a replacement ballast? Link to comment
ross76053
Ballasts - www.ahsupply.com or www.grainger.com. Grainger is having a lighting sale through October. There are many others, but this is where I've purchased ballasts in the past. Ross Link to comment
nano15
Thanks Ross. I am also looking at petsupplyliquidator.com too. It is pretty cheap. Link to comment
