Anemone vs mp10

My anemone got sucked into a mp10, he was stuck to the side of the filter pad when I got home.  I took the pad off the pump and sat it at the bottom of the tank trying to let him crawl out of it.

 

Any advise on how to proceed?

I cut the filter pad off aside from the part he's still stuck to.  He attached instantly to the rock i sat him on.  It looks to me like some of his stomach got sucked through the foot.  It's probably only 1% of his foot that's damaged.  I hope he makes it! 😞

I had one that walked into a powerhead and got part of its stomach chopped off, it recovered fine. I just left it be to heal on its own.

It healed up fine.  Cutting the filter pad small and just leaving him on the part he was attached to seems to have been the right move.  It climbed off it that night.  The next day it looked rough but did eat.  Most his tentacles got a 'hair cut' but otherwise he seems to be perfect and behaving normally.
