Metal halide users.

Hello,

Is anyone using halides here?

Just wanted to see what type of bulbs and ballasts you guys are using.

Pictures of your systems are welcome.

i will be adding metal halides in two months, im debating on 14k vs 20k my fixture will also have 4 hoT5's so im thinking 14k with atinics

I always liked the whiter spectrum of 14k MH bulbs supplemented with actinic fluorescent bulbs. Metal halide light is so crisp, and that shimmer is so nice. The fluorescent bulbs add softer more even light to balance the look. 

 

Some LEDs can give that same shimmer, if they’re a single point of light, but the soft even lighting from fluorescent bulbs is rarely seen these days.
