BioCube Newb
Just wondering of anyone out there has made their own custom tank out of acrylic. If so any pointers you can share? Quote Link to comment
Tired
Lots of people do something like that. It's a tricky process, though, and comes with a much higher chance of the tank failing than you get if you buy a tank from somewhere reputable. Tank failure can be anything from a dripping leak to a burst seam and complete collapse, so it may not be something you want to do for your first tank. Not unless you plan on keeping that first tank in your bathtub at all times! Quote Link to comment
BioCube Newb
nope not the first tank, but my dream tank will have custom dimensions based on its location in the house. Intend to do some trial runs with cheap materials to get the feel for it. Quote Link to comment

BioCube Newb
thanks, got a amazing deal on a 29 biocube from a buddy and fell in love with the design. So now just want to go bigger, and cubes just give me a more 3 dimensional feel to it. Quote Link to comment
